This tutorial shows you how to edit the home button settings on your Apple gadgets.<\/h2>\n

The \u201cHome\u201d button on the front of an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad serves three\u00a0distinct functions. Pressing the \u201cHome\u201d button a single time will exit the current application and display the \u201cHome\u201d screen. \u00a0Pressing the \u201cHome\u201d button twice in quick succession will bring up the multitasking bar which allows you to switch between apps, close apps and lock your screen orientation. Holding down the \u201cHome\u201d button on certain iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad models will bring up the Siri voice control functionality. Pressing the \u201cHome\u201d button three times in rapid succession, however, can serve a number of different functions depending on your preferences. You just have to specify what you actually want the button to do under these circumstances. Here we show you how to set up different functions for your home button \u2013 a tip which can save you a lot of time and frustration when you\u2019re trying to use your gadgets!<\/p>\n

Step 1<\/b><\/p>\n

Turn on your iOS device and navigate to the \u201cHome\u201d screen. If your device is already on, press the \u201cHome\u201d button to exit the current application and navigate back to the \u201cHome\u201d screen.<\/p>\n

Step 2<\/b><\/p>\n

\"Goodlucky365<\/a>Open the official Apple \u201cSettings\u201d application on your device and select the \u201cGeneral\u201d menu item. Note that your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad may display the \u201cGeneral\u201d menu by default, at which point you can skip that part of the step.<\/p>\n

Step 3<\/b><\/p>\n

Scroll down to the bottom portion of the \u201cGeneral\u201d screen and select the \u201cAccessibility\u201d option. The \u201cAccessibility\u201d option is in the same section with the \u201cDate & Time,\u201d \u201cInternational\u201d and \u201cKeyboard\u201d options.<\/p>\n

Step 4<\/b><\/p>\n

Scroll down to the very bottom of the \u201cAccessibility\u201d window. The final section on screen will be labeled \u201cTriple-click.\u201d<\/p>\n

Step 5<\/b><\/p>\n

Tap the \u201cTriple-click Home\u201d option in the \u201cTriple-click\u201d portion of the window on screen. A new menu with four to seven distinct options will appear. Select the function you want your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad to perform every time you triple-click the \u201cHome\u201d button. You can have your iPad start a new \u201cVoiceOver\u201d session, invert the colors on screen, zoom in on the screen or launch \u201cAssistiveTouch\u201d capabilities.\u201d Make your selection by tapping on your desired option.<\/p>\n

When you\u2019re finished, press \u201cHome\u201d one time to exit the \u201cSettings\u201d application. You can now use the \u201cHome\u201d button with triple-click functionality using the settings you have just specified.<\/p>\n
